Painting Workshops


Painting Workshops are where YOU pick the subject matter, and paint whatever speaks to YOU.
The journey is different, but no less important than a structured class curriculum.  
In fact, it is more important.  This is the time a painter truly explores

There is more freedom in your journey, but you are not alone.  
With other artists we will discuss all the elements of painting as each painter investigates composition and technique. 
The class will veer into different subjects, and if applicable, instructive lessons will be added as we go.  

~ Each class will definitely involve discussions about composition,
color theory and practice, and painting techniques.

SNOW DAYS 
What is a winter without a few snow days? 
If there is a class cancellation due to snow, the 2 weeks after Session 2 will be available for a make-up class.

 Private or Semi-Private Lessons 
Each lesson is 2 hours long.  $150/lesson or $400 for three lessons.
Individually scheduled.

​Palette Knife  
 A four session immersion in the textural and expressive nature of painting with a palette knife.
​Understanding the tools, how to use them and when and where to use a palette knife technique in future paintings.   
Fun and spontaneous, this class is always a crowd pleaser.

 A New Perspective  
Such an exciting topic ( perspective) yet one that is often overlooked.  When, and why, do we use One point, Two point perspective? We begin with architecture and move on to landscape elements and the human figure.......All in proportion to their surroundings

 Abstract Investigation
 This class will include an overview of the abstract art world and discuss process and technique. 
The class will be tailored for each student to enjoy the creative process of abstract painting. 
Students will be urged to utilize both acrylic and oil, using a variety of painting applications.

 Fast and Furious
 Trusting your instincts and artistic judgement, this class focuses on creating an Alla Prima painting in 3 hours.  
In 4 classes,  4 paintings will be completed. Subject matter will be provided for each class.
