"Exploration of Color Theory for the Painter"
Fall 2024 will have One Topic,
3 Separate Sessions
Each session, each class...... building one upon the other.
It is highly recommended that interested painters sign up for all three sessions.

This is an incredibly fun set of classes, I am very excited!
Let's face it, we all LOVE color!
Let's be more confident with informed color choices.
Discussing Color theory as it applies to your actual pigments,
covering the following topics.

Creating an in-depth understanding of the Color Wheel :
Theory vs Reality Topics
Value - Saturation - Hue
Warm vs Cool
Using theory in color schemes
Monochromatic - Analogous
Complimentary - Split Complimentary - Triadic
~ Each class will involve color lab exercises as well as
utilizing this knowledge into actual finished paintings.

Each lesson is 2 hours long. $150/lesson or $400 for three lessons.

Palette Knife
A four session immersion in the textural and expressive nature of painting with a palette knife.
Understanding the tools, how to use them and when and where to use a palette knife technique in future paintings.
Fun and spontaneous, this class is always a crowd pleaser.

A New Perspective
Such an exciting topic ( perspective) yet one that is often overlooked. When, and why, do we use One point, Two point perspective? We begin with architecture and move on to landscape elements and the human figure.......All in proportion to their surroundings

Abstract Investigation
This class will include an overview of the abstract art world and discuss process and technique.
The class will be tailored for each student to enjoy the creative process of abstract painting.
Students will be urged to utilize both acrylic and oil, using a variety of painting applications.

Fast and Furious
Trusting your instincts and artistic judgement, this class focuses on creating an Alla Prima painting in 3 hours.
In 4 classes, 4 paintings will be completed. Subject matter will be provided for each class.
Private or Semi-Private Lessons
Each lesson is 2 hours long. $150/lesson or $400 for three lessons.
Individually scheduled.
